Our Mission is to assist community members in the Electoral Area A build resilience and confidence in the face of any emergency, through communication, coordination, and education.
What We Do
Communication
BERS sets up communication and information systems for all community members. They work with local residents, and existing government organizations to ensure that there is a community voice represented in the event of an emergency.
Education
Education for the Blaeberry Emergency Response provides community-focused training, resources, and awareness to help residents of the Blaeberry area prepare for and respond to emergencies such as wildfires
Coordination
BERS organizes and compiles a list of community information and assets that can be utilized during emergencies.

If you live in The Blaeberry, from the Sky Bridge to Donald and anywhere east of Highway 1 and you are interested in helping to make your community stronger and more resilient, we invite you to join us!The society organizes and participates in community education events including Fire Smart, S100 training and Wildfire Preparedness Day.
